The easiest way to stop an app from opening on Mac startup is to use the Dock. Here are the steps. Launch the app you want to disable. Right-click on its icon in the dock. Untick the Open at Login option. (Do the reverse if you want the app to start automatically.)
Press the Windows Key + R on your keyboard or open the Run dialog. Type ‘msconfig’ and click OK. This will open the System Configuration dialog box. Under the General tab, select the Selective Startup option and uncheck Load startup items. This will ensure that Windows disables any application from running at startup.
